Portland’s Green Fashion Week
Portland Fashion Week is from October 19th-24th. This year, it will have a distinct “green theme” with events being promoted on recycled paper, and the actual shows will include a sustainable runway, sustainable makeup and hair, and sustainable hotels for guests.
Their vision is to “emphasize eco-responsible fashion, stage independent designers, and draw national attention to Portland’s unique intersection of Art, Commerce, and Sustainability.” They promise a great show with an abundance of innovation and creativity.
Featured designers include Alula, Anna Cohen, Kate Towers, Lara Miller and many more!

Glad that PFW is gaining notice from all over. ultra (http://www.ultrapdx.com) is doing profiles, reviews and tons of event photos. We’re also hosting a series of panel discussions we’re calling TALKING FASHION. One of them is on putting sustainable principles into practice in a fashion business. If you’re in town, it’s next Wednesday, October 24 at Noon at the Armory.
